ORI, Lord of the Nowhere, enjoyed a long and unimpeded run of dimension-conquering; that is, until he invaded the dimension of Terra-Aves and its planet of the same name. Thunder Chicken and Turkules, the two greatest warriors of that dimension, played vital roles in the dismantling of ORI’s armies and his ultimate defeat in his attempt to make Terra-Aves his own. ORI had never experienced defeat and it left a nasty taste in his mouth; one he refused to accept. He made the discovery of the duo’s entrapment on Earth and devised a plan in the hopes of eliminating them before they could find a way back to their beloved home dimension.

 

Thinking he wanted the two “extinct,” ORI obtained the bones of past bird life on Earth and created a flock of servants to carry out his vengeance: The overpowering elephant bird, Rucke; the indestructible dodo, Solitaire; the brilliant great auk, Garefowl; and their leader, the flying teratorn, Waukeon.

 

ORI didn’t stop there; he also granted this foursome with the powers of the elements. Rucke was given the power to manipulate earth. Solitaire has the ability to produce and control fire. Garefowl can shape and move water at will. Waukeon has been granted the power to bend the air itself. Together, these feathered fiends have been charged with the task of destroying the two god-birds once and for all.

 

The Fearsome Fowlsome now spend their existence hatching new schemes to defeat the Earthbound duo of Thunder Chicken and Turkules, as well as their newfound partner, WonderDuck; together, known as the Poultry Powers. The battles between these two powerful forces are brutal and pose a constant threat to innocent lives on Earth. ORI has promised Earth itself to the Fowlsome upon completion of their goal. This has prompted them to stop at nothing to realize their reward which would result in the transformation of our planet into their very own Bird Utopia.
