Freeman Fleat

An intensely private man shrouded in mystery, Freeman Fleat has established himself as one of the wealthiest and most powerful individuals in the entire world.

As a youth, Freeman lived in the lap of luxury until the age of nine when his tranquil life was shattered by the loss of his beloved mother. Young Freeman was a lost soul and craved the attention of his father, but it would not be so. His father was a very successful business tycoon and had no time to raise a child; especially one that reminded him of his lost love. He made the decision to send Freeman away to a year-round military school where he would receive the guidance he would need to become a strong, successful man.

Freeman was devastated. Through the years, his father would make periodic visits which became occasional phone calls until all contact and any hope for a father-son relationship was lost. The one person Freeman thought he would be able to count on after losing his mother simply disappeared from his life. It was a hard lesson to learn. Trust no one and rely only upon yourself; A lesson that would shape every decision for the rest of his life.

Upon graduation, Freeman began his career as a grunt in the United States Marine Corp. where his determination, mental acumen, and physical talents propelled him through the ranks until he was drafted into a top secret unit whose training and missions are classified to this day. He was sent to all corners of the world and he used this time and experience to build a global network of both legitimate and underworld connections.

Shortly after his discharge from the military, under suspicious circumstances, Freeman received word of his father's failing health and that his presence at his father's side was requested. Freeman reluctantly made the trip to San Francisco to have a final heart-to-heart with his estranged father. "Maybe I can finally make things right with my father and put this heartache behind me." This thought actually gave Freeman some peace; a feeling he hadn't felt since his mother was in his life.

But it was not to be. Upon reaching the hospital, Freeman learned that his father had passed just hours before his arrival. Fate had dealt another blow to his soul. One from which he would refuse to recover. He had trusted that things were finally going to turn around for him, emotionally speaking, and trust had let him down yet again. "Trust no one and rely only upon yourself."

Freeman Fleat assumed full control of his father's highly successful restaurant empire and quickly expanded into many areas of business as Fleat Enterprises. He wasted no time in using his worldwide network of contacts to turn Fleat Enterprises into a multifaceted organization and the world's largest privately owned corporation.

There wasn't an area of business Fleat would avoid if he knew it could be profitable. He made the decision to finance an experimental synthetic growth hormone, Augmentum-249, produced by Domicorp; a company with a short and unproven history. This would be his first venture into the field of genetic engineering but Fleat's underlying plan was to manipulate the young company and eventually buy them out, one way or another.

This decision would be one that would alter everything we know; It would change Freeman Fleat's life as well as the lives of a select group of destined individuals. The world, the universe, would never be the same again.
