For generations, the peaceful planet of Vendaria and the surrounding galaxy was protected by the Galaxy Guard; a violet-clad warrior armed with a saber of remarkable power. Then, on one fateful day, their galactic protector was suddenly taken away from them when the demonic Overlord Vexius and his Army of the Gobberwoth began a series of relentless attacks with the goal of acquiring the Star Key; an ancient and most powerful artifact entrusted to the Vendarians ages ago to be protected at all costs.
In the aftermath of the final battle, it was apparent that the Galaxy Guard had sacrificed himself in order to vanquish Vexius from their home putting an end to the onslaught of the enormous Gobberwoth. All that remained of the Violet One was his famed G-Saber which was discovered in the rubble of the ancient Vendarian temple which housed the Star Key. Unfortunately, it was quickly discovered that the Star Key was gone as well. Not only did they lose their greatest protector, Vendaria failed in their millennia-long charge to safeguard the Star Key. All hope was lost.
Many years would pass without the security of the Galaxy Guard. Vendaria slipped into a state of anarchy and ruin until the resurgence of the military under the leadership of General Malestrom. His brash attitude and, at times, over-the-top approach to revitalizing the planet was the hardcore attitude Vendaria needed to restore order, peace, and justice to the damaged and dying civilization. All was on track to regain a thriving society until the second coming of the Gobberwoth forced the reappearance of the Galaxy Guard; however, it would not be as expected.
Galaxy Guard
The Galaxy Guard was destined to be resurrected in the form of Aino Virtuu; an adolescent Vendarian and, unknown to her, the offspring of the former Galaxy Guard. The secret was revealed to her by her grandfather that she was to be the next in a long bloodline of galactic protectors. It had been forbidden by Vendarian law since the existence of the Galaxy Guard for a female to assume the role, but with no male heir, Aino's grandfather raised and discreetly trained her throughout her young life so that she would be prepared to wield the powerful G-Saber if and when that time would come.
Vex and his Gobberwoth forced the hasty debut of Aino as the Galaxy Guard. She reluctantly donned a power suit and the G-Saber and joined Malestrom's military forces to battle Vex's demonic army. Malestrom was shocked to see the Galaxy Guard by his side; but even more shocking to him was the fact that the Guard was female. She was able to do just enough to tip the scales in Vendaria's favor and turned Vex and the Army of the Gobberwoth away.
Malestrom was torn; females are forbidden to fulfill the role of the Galaxy Guard, but Aino had performed well beyond what would have been expected in her first appearance. He reluctantly accepts her as Vendaria's Galactic Protector, for now, but does not agree with the arrangement. He fully expects a male to assume the role as soon as possible and voices this opinion every chance he gets.
Now, with little understanding of her new reality, young Aino Virtuu is guided by her aging grandfather in her role as a galactic protector. She diligently continues her peacekeeping duties in the midst of contesting with the chauvinistic approach of General Malestrom and his all-male forces while learning the ways of the Galaxy Guard.
