What is Augmentum-249?
Augmentum was designed to evolve warriors of the Domi Nation into superior fighting machines with combat abilities unmatched by any other being in any universe. The Domi have worked to perfect their enhancement serum throughout their surprising struggle against the peaceful, yet formidable, Sharillions resulting in failure after failure. Many warriors have suffered horrendous disfigurations and debilitating after-effects as a result of testing procedures.
The latest mixture, Augmentum-249, was completed at the Domi's secret lab located on Earth and has rendered amazing results; however, these results have not been with the intended recipients. Earth lifeforms have inadvertently come into contact with the Augmentum and have evolved in remarkable ways.
It's unknown what has caused Augmentum-249 to react so successfully. Could it be something in the Earth's atmosphere or ecosystem? Or maybe it's due to the genetic make-up of the select lifeforms that have evolved. Whatever the reason, the Domi are desperate to discover the secret.
When a lifeform ingests, contacts, or otherwise has Augmentum introduced into its system, an accelerated evolution begins to take place. Within a few days, significant enhancements in strength, speed, size, and intelligence are experienced. Humanoid characteristics physically, mentally and emotionally also manifest.
The lifeform's personality and mental/emotional states are very fragile in the early stages of evolution; this seems to be when a Hero or Villain is created. If the individual experiences or perceives negativity, such as the pain STarmorfish experienced during his evolution and his perceived notion that humans were responsible, a Villain emerges and an agenda based on that experience arises. If the experience is positive, such as Captain Crustacean's lesson regarding pride in your country and its people, a Hero is born with a desire to protect the innocent and fight for justice.
Of all the unbelievable changes experienced, the most remarkable are the powers; otherworldly abilities such as the power to fly, bulletproof skin, or the ability to fire energy blasts from one's hands to name just a few. This is what has piqued the interest of the Domi, as well as other powerful individuals here on Earth, who would like to learn the secrets of Augmentum-249 in order to use it to their own advantage, with either good or evil intentions.
